Requesting Accommodation for College and Self-Advocacy

On Saturday, February 2nd, T. K. Martin will host a workshop from 9-11 a.m. for families with students who will be transitioning from high school to college.  Leslie Junkin, Assistant Director of the Mississippi Parent Training and Information Center, will present Requesting Accommodation for College and Self-Advocacy.   This presentation will offer parents and students help in understanding the process of requesting accommodations at the secondary level.  This workshop will cover information for students in the high school who will be transitioning to college, university, or trade schools.  The speaker will provide information about the process of working with these schools to get needed accommodations in place for success at the next level.  The presentation will be an hour with time at the end to ask questions to our presenter and staff.
