Bio

Laurie Craig is a licensed speech-language pathologist and special educator. She has been at the T.K. Martin Center for Technology and Disability since 1999. Laurie has a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Memphis as well as an undergraduate degree in the area of Special Education from Mississippi State University. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. She has nearly 20 years of experience in the area of speech-language disorders-assessment and intervention. Laurie currently coordinates Project IMPACT’s Early Intervention Assessment Team, part of the early intervention project serving children aged birth to five. Other areas of TKMC that Laurie has been affiliated with include Camp Jabber Jaw, a camp for individuals who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and EXPRESS Yourself Art. Additionally, she has conducted augmentative and alternative communication assessments involving both low and high assistive technologies.
